Many surgical procedures that used to require hospital admission have long since been replaced with out-patient procedures designed to be both convenient and cost-effective. We take pride in performing most of our cosmetic surgery in the safety of our office operating room under local anesthesia or with sedation provided by a Board Certified Anesthesiologist. Experienced nursing personnel monitor our patients postoperatively in the office recovery room, further ensuring safety and putting the patient at ease. Here in the office, we can even perform some cosmetic procedures simultaneously with others, thus allowing for a single recovery period. From start to finish, we provide the patient with privacy, comfort, and individualized attention.
Hartford Plastic Surgery Associates' surgical suite has been certified by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF) since the year 2000. To maintain this coveted accreditation, we must adhere to the latest stringent guidelines set by this national governing agency. Dr. Reed also has privileges at Hartford Hospital, University of Connecticut Health Center School of Medicine, Manchester Memorial Hospital and Healthsouth Surgical Center in Hartford for those procedures requiring a general anesthetic or an overnight hospital stay.
